DK'S Viking Warrior "Oden" is our young male from one of the very last breedings of Kurt Bertram's Dual CH-AFC Bertram's Blazing Firewater MH (BLAZE). Kurt bred Blaze to his Senior Hunter female named Bertram's Hot Damn SH (HOTTIE). This Blaze x Hottie male is an absolute delight to own. In the true Chessie vane, Oden Loves Water and Loves to Retrieve!! His conformation makes him a natural for competing for a Bench Champion title as well. He was recently OFA pre-limed as Good and his eyes have been CERF'd Normal/Clear. We believe that Oden exemplifies the true essence of our Chesapeake breed. This is a Special Test breeding and first time breeding for "Sounder". She is a product of a Surgical A.I. Frozen semen breeding from Tom Cox's deceased Field Trial/Hunt Test male name Delaware Chief Nicobe QAA ("Nicky") and Nick Wohler's Qualified All Age female "Bailey's Montana Dream QAA MH". Tana earned three Amateur All Age thirds and numerous Jam's in both Open and Amateur Stakes. Tana was whelped at our kennel.
Assuming this breeding/whelping goes well, we will do a Very Significant breeding next year with Sounder using some extremely limited frozen semen that we have in storage from Bruce Mitchell's AFC Distagon's ATV of Nordais ("Hummer").
